This short report is the start of a ‘Quest’ for The Young Foundation. It examines how FTSE 100 companies are interpreting the social dimensions of ESG. It also draws on a large survey of SME and large UK businesses. Overall, the report finds that the movement towards greater levels of environmental responsibility is broadly in strong evidence, but uncovers a lack of attention, measurement and commitment to social outcomes as part of ESG strategies.
