Abstract
The Civic Journey is a transformational two-year youth-led programme that was launched in September 2021. Against a backdrop of increasing evidence concerning social polarisation and community fragmentation, the programme focuses on illuminating and unleashing the civic potential of young people to reinvigorate communities, identify innovative solutions to local problems and to invigorate the ties that bind individuals and groups together in a manner that celebrates diversity and difference.
This report by Professor Matt Flinders, and the accompanying discussion paper, introduce the concepts behind the Civic Journey programme.
