Senior Researcher

Katriya joined The Young Foundation in 2020 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Geography. Katriya previously interned with SEWA Bharat, the largest trade union for Indian informal sector women, evaluating the impact of unionisation projects and the local effects of providing welfare and rights trainings for women living in Jharkhand, India.

Through her work, Katriya is particularly interested in diversity and inclusion, as well as how research methodology can bring communities together and amplify the voices of those so often left out of traditional research.

Outside of her role at The Young Foundation, Katriya is a member of the GirlDreamer Advisory board, a charity working to support women of colour to pursue their personal and professional dreams. She also loves travelling, cycling, and walking her dog.
