Head of Participatory Research

Initially joining The Young Foundation in 2022 as Peer Research Lead, Jenny was promoted to Head of Participatory Research in 2023.

Prior to this, Jenny worked at the University of Bristol on community engaged research projects that actively engaged with lived experience, and developed new ways of working with communities. Jenny is particularly interested in developing and supporting the training and facilitation of peer research activity to create robust and meaningful research.

Jenny is a chartered psychologist, and has worked across psychology, health, social sciences, engineering, arts, and humanities. She has expertise in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Much of Jenny’s research has drawn on creative, arts-based methods and has involved collaborating with arts practitioners, community organisations, and charities.

Outside of work, Jenny is a trustee of a children’s theatre company and loves swimming, cinema and travelling. When that’s not possible, she’s generally found reading detective fiction or watching comic book films with her family.
