Jess joined The Young Foundation in September 2021, bringing expertise as a writer, editor and communications specialist.
Engaging partners and stakeholders, Jess has significant experience in building thought leadership profile, working to elevate and share creative ideas across a range of platforms and with diverse audiences. She previously worked for the not-for-profit member organisation, Jisc, and worked as a freelance writer and communications specialist for a broad range of media platforms and charities. Prior to that, she was an editor at The Guardian and The Independent, largely specialising in education. Throughout her career, Jess has focused on the experiences of traditionally disadvantaged and under-represented learners.
Jess is passionate about communicating the needs and priorities of people in our communities, and is always looking for new opportunities to extend The Young Foundation’s reach and impact.
In her free time, Jess loves exploring galleries and outdoor spaces, and is an active member of her local running club.
