Programme Manager

Zain is part of The Young Foundation’s Communities team. He joined us in August 2020 coming from Mind in Hackney where he worked with services including schools and hospitals to improve access to psychological therapies, particularly for local Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

Alongside his job, Zain has practiced as an art director, and held civil society roles across the globe – including at British Council in India, and the Cabinet Office in Japan, where he was awarded a scholarship on their Community Core Leaders Programme. Zain sees art and creativity as powerful tools for social change.

Outside The Young Foundation, Zain is a textiles enthusiast. He practices film photography, and loves getting lost in research around South Asian art, cinema and history.
