Senior Research and Engagement Officer
Before joining The Young Foundation in 2019, Zoë was a McBurney Fellow at McGill University’s Institute for Health and Social Policy. In this role, she worked at a refuge for migrants at Mexico’s southern border, doing legal advocacy work with incoming migrants, and community-building with the long-term residents at the shelter. She has also worked as a community researcher with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in rural Panama, as well as working on other research and policy evaluation programmes across academia and the charity sector.
Zoë focuses on participatory research methods and person-centred, systems-focused approaches to support. She is particularly interested in community cohesion and action.
Zoë is currently completing her masters in social policy at the LSE, and can often be found cycling around East London (between cups of tea).
