Join our online event, where representatives from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and The Young Foundation’s Institute for Community Studies will share research findings from our recent report, An equitable future for research and innovation, and launch the Community Research Networks funding call.

Speakers from organisations working to support community involvement in research will share their experiences, and potential applicants can learn more about the new fund, with opportunities to ask questions.

There’s growing recognition that everyone in the UK has a stake in research and innovation, including people and communities that may not traditionally have had a voice in the sector. Over the next four years, UKRI is therefore investing £4m in emerging Community Research Networks, supporting organisations to develop relationships, capacity and capability to support community-led approaches to research.

The event is open to anyone with an interest in applying for Community Research Network funding in the Expression of Interest phase. We welcome applicants from charitable trusts, registered charities, community interest companies, cooperative societies, research organisations and local authorities. If you are unsure of your eligibility, we encourage you to come to the event for more information.

Register to join us via Eventbrite. If you have any questions or accessibility requirements, please email tania.carregha@icstudies.org.uk
