Join this webinar with the community research team at Dartington Service Design Lab. For the last two years the team have been working in Lambeth on an evaluation of LEAP, a 10-year lottery funded programme supporting infants and their parents in South London. The team are local mothers, working as part of an integrated team conducting participatory research using creative methods.

In this insightful discussion, they will share learnings including:

  • Challenges of community research on complex projects

Speakers from the community research team:

Anita Kambo

Anita began her career as a research fellow, carrying out systematic reviews in healthcare. With an underlying passion for social equity and desire to support socially disadvantaged individuals, she then trained as a mental health practitioner and has worked in the NHS and the voluntary and community sector.

Ela Skowron

Ela is the mother of a beautiful boy who has lived in Brixton for the last 21 years. Ela is a cycling enthusiast as well as nature and art lover. Her professional background is in early years education and she is very passionate about social justice as well as building and supporting her local communities

Natoya Whyte

Natoya is a mother of five children – her love for helping and supporting families in her community stemmed from being born and raised in the Caribbean, where community is a common interest that gives a feeling of belonging and care for each other. Natoya previously worked at Home Start Lambeth and recently graduated from the University of East London where she studied social and community work.
