Chimeme Egbutah, Luton Council

Chimeme has worked in local government for more than 20 years as a public health specialist, working across health, children and young people, health improvement, and tackling health inequalities. She has experience in management and consulting, team-building, and strategic implementation of public health policies.

Chimeme is lead officer on the Council’s Population Wellbeing Strategy, working to embed Marmot principles, in order to tackle health inequalities. She delivers on the Talk, Listen, Change research project, by co-ordinating actions with Luton’s communities and partners.

Chimeme is an assessor for the UK Public Health Practitioner scheme and was recently a peer reviewer for the Local Government Association.
