Biography

Sarah McCready is Head of Placemaking and Communications at Barking Riverside Limited, the master developer behind one of Europe’s largest placemaking projects. Sarah’s role primarily focusses on how residents can shape and lead key areas of local growth, and what facilities are needed so that communities can live with purpose, belonging and pride. Sarah regularly publicly speaks about the importance of social impact within the regeneration and development industry.

Barking Riverside Limited, known locally as BRL, are a joint venture between L&Q and the Mayor of London. It is the company behind the delivery of the new homes and facilities at Barking Riverside, responsible for the overall design, planning and placemaking, leading the major infrastructure projects, and working with housebuilders who are building homes in the area.
