A presentation by Chelsea McDonagh and Amelia Clayton, The Young Foundation. The Kickstart Scheme, along with additional funding from the Youth Futures Foundation and Mohn Westlake Foundation, allowed The Young Foundation to employ 23 young people aged 19-24 as peer researchers. During their six months with us they work across three research sprints and develop essential skills, with the aim of gaining confidence and experience that will lead to future employment. This presentation explores the unique opportunities that peer research can provide young people at the very beginning of their careers as well as the challenges and successes of the first two cohorts.
