Accreditation
The Peer Research Network offers a level 2 peer research accreditation, accredited by NCFE.
Our peer research qualification
Our accreditation is open to approved organisations that provide a good standard of training and support to peer researchers. Contact us if you would like to become an approved organisation.
The level 2 qualification is designed to be accessible. Students complete the course while working on a live peer research project (or retrospectively), evidencing how their peer research skills have been put into action, and submitting work that’s closely connected to their peer research role.
Students can start the course can start at any point in the year, providing their organisation is approved, and providing they register before they start their portfolio.
Overview of modules
Students complete three compulsory modules, learning about the fundamentals of research, research integrity, and research analysis and communication. The programme also includes one additional module, with learners choosing to focus on research interviewing, group discussion, or creative methods.
Our qualification has been developed to meet the specific needs of our learners and has been accredited by NCFE, an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales(Qualification Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation). This is an unregulated qualification and is not a nationally recognised qualification.

Our costs include NCFE registration and certificate fees; an e-portfolio for each student to store, organise and submit their evidence; and assessment by our team. One member of your staff also has access to the e-portfolio, enabling them monitor progress.
