Nahed is doing her PhD in Female Entrepreneurship and social capital. She is a British council (HESPAL)-awarded researcher, and is based in York. She has worked for many years as a lecturer and tutor, and has held managerial positions at universities in Gaza.

Community Advisory Board
Nahim serves the most vulnerable members of society through his work in the private, public and third sectors. His professional experiences in a range of sectors help create positive sustainable changes in areas affected by poverty.
Neil Reeder
Director, Head and Heart Economics
Neil specialises in analysing strategy for productivity and innovation in public services. He previously headed Preventative Investment Programme, spanning agendas from public health to homelessness. A major aspect of this work included the development of the theory and practice behind Social Impact Bonds.
Nicola Bacon
Foundation Director, Social Life
Nicola is the director of a centre for expertise on innovation and peacemaking, set up by The Young Foundation. She was our director of local and advisory projects until 2012, leading programmes with councils and other partner agencies on local social innovation, communities and wellbeing. She was previously at the Home Office, and director of policy at Shelter.

A criminology PhD ESRC Scholar at the University of Oxford, Nisha’s research focuses on the application of complicity law with reference to serious youth violence and the criminalisation of young black men.

Pam is Chair of Incredible Edible CIC, an international initiative showing how local food growing demonstrates the power of small actions in bringing about major cultural shifts. She was previously leader of a Local Authority, and – through a number of former and current roles – has a front row seat on how government at all levels operate and invest.
